Information on Bluebonnet oil has been sketchy at best.
There was a Bluebonnet Oil Company founded by the residents of Mineola Texas around 1902-1906. A corporation was formed and stocks sold. (Book: Oil in Texas).
Michael Benedum and Foster Parriot, founded Transcontinental in 1919 by consolidating several small oil companies they had bought under one new name. Bluebonnet was NOT one of them though.
Benedum and Parriot also bought a number of small oil companies in the east Texas area were Bluebonnet was located. But have not been able to link the two.
I saw another mention of Bluebonnet oil in the Yates Field area of West Texas, but have been unable to relocate the information.
Do not have the "pink" globe book Roger mentioned. Would like to get the information contained in that.
Thanks for all the input and heads up on the oil can.
There is a Bluebonnet Oil Corporation. But is wasn't formed until the 1980's I think.

Note; the E in Economical on the oil can is also the same "script" used on the Endurance on the card.
