This was a great way to start off the holliday weekend yesterday!
Washington state (as well as every state) has had some very stoopid laws down through history and this sign is a product of one of them.
Prohibition was over in 1932 and Wa. state passed a law that women could not sit at a bar but could be in a bar/lounge if it had booths.
Very early PINK neon "Booths For Ladies" sign from the iconic Sports Center Cafe in Everett Washington and it came with a copy of a picture of it that was in the Seattle Times in 1982!
