Gary, I have a couple of A-1's & the piece that I think you're talking about is a cast "bar" that attaches to each side of the pump above the glass. If my place is on the tour list tomorrow, I'll try to get a photo of it for you.

Here is a picture of Gary's pump. Do you think the A38 top would work. Richard

No The a-38 top will not fit. A-1 top is all together different.

A-38 and Nat.A-1 tops are not interchangeable. Here's my A-1 with the top bar. I am missing the stainless pieces that hold in the glass. I understand that T-way reproduces those and the spears, but I've not contacted him about it yet. Here's a beauty restored by Larry Ivy with all the correct hardware. ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas [This message has been edited by oltoydoc@pacbell.net (edited 01-09-2005).]

oltoydoc: Thanks for the mention - but all I've reproduced for the A-1 is the short SS Door Spears and the Veeder Root SS Trim Pieces. The ones between the glass and the faceplate. There's just not enough volume/demand for anything else. Of course, if dozens of you send me an e-mail . . . Later . . . Jim ------------------ http://www.vintage-logos.com

Contact Ron Scobie, If he has an A-1 maybe he can have a top bar cast for you. He did a castiron ring for my TOKHEIM VICTORY pump, now it will be complete. Thanks Ron
