WOW, once again the big time auction companies want to run away ones who have supported them. Was going to make a 11 hour drive but can't do it now. I know the ones that say stay home, remember we have allowed these same companies to continue to raise the buyers premium, what next. I have enjoyed attending this auction house but you have to question this practice.

Am I reading the terms of auction correctly, a 22% buyers premium ??? Yes, that's correct unless you pay with cash or check, then you'll only have a 20% premium---BUT--there will also be sales tax added on if you don't have a sales tax permit to their office at least 5 days before the auction! Not sure what that tax is, but I heard it was 6%? SPENDY huh!

Please direct if this is being discussed in another thread. How do you bid on ebay ? I mean there will not be a clock ? Will bids be shown as they go up ? I'm new to this, I mean ebay being involved.
Thanks

Not sure if this is a factor where the auction will be conducted? Paul wwwseverngaspumps.com

IF your bidding what's the best site, proxie?? I have participated in several online auctions with several different companies, and I find Proxibid to be the most user friendly and usually problem free.

I wish I was going just to watch, but $500 to watch is too much. I hope to be able to attend one of the future sales.

Mr Frith it does not cost you anything to be at the auction. If you buy something the $500 is deducted from your purchases or if you do not buy anything you get your $500 back in 30 days.
I do not know why people do not understand this, the only reason we are doing this is to keep spectators out of the auction room.
You can come and look at everything with out any cost.

I don't understand this, IF I made the trip and spent the time looking at the items. I would want to be able to watch the auction and take notes on the things sold. Unless there's a video feed or something. I've never herd of an auction doing this before so that's why I say this. Not trying to argue or cause a problem.

Going to be fun to watch this one on line tomorrow. I can understand the seat fee. The best known collection is being sold. A lot of people who are not buyers would like to watch, with limited seating, that takes seats away from buyers. The auction company needs to cater to buyers, not spectators.
