I didn't see your advice as a joke as well as Mr. Sim's similar suggestion. I'm not a great collector, redid 3 pumps in 45 years of which I've given all of them away to relation. I have built 17 complete street rods and done probably 10-12 other partial auto restoration projects every year over those years plus operating a small farm and working paper mill maintenance for 32 years on swing shift. Plus raised 3 children. I acquired this basket case as myself and 2 other friends cleaned some garage space for a friend, who has suffered a serious heart attack and unable to do much for himself. The job was to let me get his 1967 Nova SS, which he purchased brand new, back in his garage vs. sitting in the weather. When I complete this pump I will return it to him as a gift. I'm 74 and work hard 7-10 hours a day and I guess not much of a joker, plus Jack's advice did not seem very "helpful"
