My focus is antique sports display pieces..picked this up at the Alameda Point Antiques Fair a week ago...Emailed a vintage weight lifting collector expert..essentially said he rarely see's them this old...says hard to date other than early 1900's...Dealer said reluctant to sell it as it brought people in his booth to look at it and take photos...I was speculating why this is the first big one like this I've seen in 30 years collecting...friend said probably most were smelted down for the war effort WWI and WWII
