...I think it makes a difference...those shakers were cheaply-made, expendable giveaways...the reason the ones in nice shape bring what they bring, is not 'few were made, therefore, they are rare'; on the contrary, many were made - few survived...and only a tiny percentsge of those survived in excellent condition...vintage toys with original paint and decals in nice condition command a higher price than repainted/redecaled examples...collectors like originality...
