I think that the final sale on the MOTOR OIL globe was more like 2800-3000, I know that nothing came close to the 5000 the Clipper lense brought. It was just really really old, and you know what they say it takes 2 to have an auction. But there were some decent deals on some globes, those richfield bullseye were in awesome shape.

The attendees had to pay 8.75% sales tax on top of the 10% bidders penalty? I looked at the Ball Auction Service web page and sales tax wasn't mentioned in the terms of sale. Wouldn't you be paying less by bidding online then?

Only about 20% of the purchases were taxable, the remainder had tax numbers. Yes, bidding over the internet saves sales tax, unless you are from Oklahoma!!

Yea Vern, I had to pay 18.75%, not very pleasant, but just keeps you from bidding as high. If you buy something small enough saves on the shipping, that always a Big IF!!..........Paul

I just saw the auction results complete list, I believe that it brought $1000 or 1100. Not sure can't remember and Set and I were so busy we can't remember much, I think that my sister "Petrogirl" was going to get the whole list posted sometime somewhere, probably the Vic website.
