yeah, unfortunately the rafters are no longer exposed. if they were, the thru-bolt idea would be best.

lag bolt certainly would be a lot easier for me... and now that I think of it, it would only be about 75-100 pounds of pull on each mount, which I think should be pretty safe. and the mounts will have 4 lag bolts each (seen in the pic above).
