I was laying in bed half awake this morning at about seven and something made all the floors in the house creak like someone was walking in. The wife had already left for her Saturday bike ride so I thought I was alone and it kinda startled me. I laid there a second and then another shake that I really felt went through the house. I figured it was a quake but I have never experienced one that I could feel like this one! I got up and turned on the tv and it was already on the news. 5.6 centered in Pawnee, OK. Guess it was felt all the way from Texas to Minnesota. Earthquake insurance sales will sure go up around here on Monday! Hope none of our Okie members had any damage. If you don't have your globes fastened down, it might be a good idea to consider doing it if you live anywhere in the midwest anymore.....GB

Pretty violent shaking in Alva Oklahoma, there's a hot zone for them 14 miles south of us and I think the strongest one I've ever felt was a 4.3 just 14 miles from my house. This one probably will go in the record books I've heard of some pretty major damage from it over around Bartlesville and even bricks falling off buildings in Oklahoma City

It was the largest quake we have ever felt here in Wichita that seemed to go on for over a minute. Finally the OK commission is requiring the waste water pumping to shut down due to the huge increase in earthquakes over the last few years.

Always looking for more Derby, Vickers, KanOTex, & Elreco gasoline & oil items!
