Looking for a value on this. Trying to decide if I should be willing to ship it or not. Has anybody had any experience with shipping one. It's heavy and would hate for it to get damaged. Thanks for any info.

I am ashamed to admit that I am in the club that has broken a glass cylinder, and that was after spending a great deal of time successfully removing it from the pump with no damage. I then transported it about 50 miles with no problem. However, when removing the cylinder from a box, it dropped only about an inch onto a piece of carpet, but that shattered it. From your picture it appears your cylinder is a Hygrade from Tulsa, and that is the brand mine was.

I have shipped a lot of them and never had any damage to any of them. Of course, you have to pack it with the idea that it will probably get dropped along the way!

I've shipped a bunch of them as well. Everyone that I'VE packaged arrived fine. I had fedex do one for me and it broke in a million pieces...and then they wouldn't pay out for it either.
