Our 2 cents, We don't know why the shows have to be more than one day long? Have you ever been to any one of the shows that you could not see everything there in 4 to 5 hours or less? And what is with this charging 20 or 30 bucks to get in early??? This is good for one thing only, to get the show promoters richer!! If we really cared about this hobby and passing it on to the younger generation we as promoters of the shows should make it as cheap as possible and affordable for all, even those on a tight budget.
Start the show with vendor set up on Saturday morning at 6, public comes in at 8, auction if your going to have one is at 1, and everyone is on there way home by 4.
This way everyone has a fair chance to get there and be a part of the show buying or selling with out having to miss 3 or 4 days of work. The more you work the more money you have to spend at the shows!!
This worked very well last year at Sea-bash 04 We had a LOT of people email and call to thank us for a great show and having it all in one day on a Saturday. The vendors ALL made comments about how they sold more in one day than they sell at other shows in 3 or more days.
We will continue to make our shows one day only with no early birds. See you there Saturday September 17th at 6 am
