Notice the can is green. This can was destined to the Military, they didn't want glass and green was camouflage. There is possibly a date on the can, 7/53, this was the one month before the Korean conflict ended. After the end of WWII and Korea the military sold much of the surplus items to people that opened "SURPLUS STORES." This can was possibly purchased at one of them after the Korean conflict.
