Found this sign years ago. A little hammer work and hand paint made it good from 25 ft.

Here is one I did a partial brush touch. It looks better without flash. The black does not look as glossy.

Here is my worst, unfortunately my Fire Dept. caused the damage. We were burning an old house and garage in the country for a training burn, the owners assured us they had removed everything they wanted to keep and there was a lot of furniture and personal belongings in the house. the garage had workbenches along the exterior walls and lots of junk. This made for a realistic drill, during the overhaul I pulled a section of the garage wall down and this sign fell out with it. It had been slid in behind one of the benches. The woman who owned the place says "oh that was my Dad's, just throw it away" so I asked her if I could have it.
