As a teenager I worked every summer and holiday at Ray's Standard-KYSO station in Miami.Ray would send me to the KYSO Miami Terminal to pick up cases of oil and Atlas TBA........Little could I realize that 20 years later I would buy the KYSO Miami Terminal. The size of the warehouse (35,000 SQ.feet) and the 13-25 thousand U/G tanks allowed my company to grow at a rapid rate.
Here are pictures that show the terminal from the East... The west end was for bulk oil storage. You can bearly see the letters on the top of the building -- STANDARD OIL COMPANY---These were taking in 1965.The plant was built by KYSO in 1947.
Signs that were on the building (MIAMI PLANT) and fence.
Safety signs on the fuel loading rack.
One more.
