Good Afternoon from Green Bay
Do any of the members have suggestions for cleaning stains off the back side of frosted ad glass. These stains do not appear to be rust but do have a raised feel to them like a mineral deposit.
This glass is from the MS 70 ad glass top which unfortunately is not a commonly reproduced size 3 9/16" x 11 3/4" with chamfered corners. Thanks for your input. Neil

Start with 0000 steel wool and Windex.
The wool won't hurt the image.
Scrub gently to loosen the crud and wipe with a paper towel.
You can also try some Prep-Sol with the wool if the windex doesn't clean it up enough.
The image is baked into the base glass. It takes a lot to remove the image. The crud is on top of everything.

Thanks Jim. I will give it a try. Been soaking in Dawn for 4 hours, no progress noted.

I would try some diluted Simple Green. I have found it to be a really effective degreaser and it will even soften paint on metal if left soaking in full strength solution over night.
