Hi all, I picked up a Pontiac service sign at an estate sale earlier today - it was hidden behind a cabinet and I just loved the look and quality of it. Im curious what people think about its possible age. Here are some notes about it that may not be perceived with just pictures:

- 12x12
- Pretty heavy for it to be a modern reproduction
- 4 holes at cardinal directions
- appears porcelain on both sides, only 1 side has a design
- in my naive opinion it appears to have legit weathering/wear
- no makers mark anywhere that I can

aftermarket - decorative purpose sign ..

Yes, Randy...An obvious decorative piece, with the 12" size being pretty much a dead giveaway of that. The original poster might have done some online searching and come up with numerous, very similar 12" round car brand decorative signs for sale (some even nicely aged!). This, of course, would have raised a red flag. In my mind, we shouldn't even think of these pieces are "reproductions", since none ever existed in reality in the distant past! So, your label of "decorative sign" is a good one. John
