Tagged along with the wife today to the local antiques shop, couldn't believe it was able to get a Atlantic White Flash sign approx 36x48 in pretty good shape and a new/old stock tombstone Quaker State Motor Oil sign with the stand, dated 1973 in its box. Will take a few pics and try to figure out how to post them

I always hit the antique stores. Never know when you hit the big one. A friend bought an original route 66 road sign at an antique mall and they thought they were making a killing sellin it for $175. Worth over a $1000. Keep on hunting. Ted

My best antique store find was a 1 quart Powerlube oil can. I had to look twice on the shelf & keep my hands from shaking as I took it off the shelf. I left a note for the vendor to see if he had anymore. He said he had 1 more at another antique shop. I took the next day off work & was standing at the door when they opened..and found it inside in his booth. Two Powerlube quarts for 12 bucks each...this was many years ago when things like this happened more often then now.

You never know when or where you will find your next treasure,be active and good things will happen.
We went to a general antique show 300 + vendors,didn't find a thing.Stopped at a very small antique store in the town. Next to the door in a large crock were 7 years of Standard Oil Of Kentucky (KYSO) dealer magazines Jan. to Dec. bound together by year 1939 oldest 1952 newest.Loaded with photos & info. Rex

my best score was a oilzum thermometer in a antique mall for 28.00! the dealer had just came in that day and put it in her booth. you sometimes have to go thru a ton of stuff to find something good

Well back to the signs, forgot to post what I paid $225.00 for the Quaker State sign and $250.00 for the Atlantic White Flash sing. Gonna work out well bought a lubester at an auction last week so will re do that as Quaker State to math the sign, also have a Tok 39 to be redone so will do that as a white flash.
