Hey guys,

So I've been helping some people out identify a mystery sunken car in a lake nearby. It's pretty exciting since it was just discovered recently. I'm pretty good for domestic cars and trucks from 1930 to 1974. It took me a bit more self-learning to find that it was a mid-20s touring Model T.

Anyways, among the cool stuff remaining on this 40+ year-old rusting time capsule is an old brass radiator badge that one of the scuba divers scavenged. On it is, in large letters "ASC" with an "N" woven through the letters. Much like the NHRA logo, the outside edge of the oval reveals the acronym "National Automobile Service Company" of somewhere in Michigan (city name rubbed out)

So I've searched the web and, so far, have come up empty handed. Does anyone know anything about this NASC? I'm guessing it was a AAA-type service. As much as I know about service stations, I have had no luck tracing this one. I was hoping someone had a clue 'cause this one gets me.

Oh man, if only those scuba geek friends of mine could locate some dumped pumps underwater!
