Hello everybody, I'm new here and am hoping to learn lots of stuff about collecting vintage items like signs or cans etc. But one thing I'm wanting to do is sell a porcelain I have. It's a Standard Service one sided porcelain sign it's a bit large 4ftx8ft but is in good condition, at least I think it is being it's 90+ years old it's from the 1930's I acquired the sign as part of payment for some painting I did for a fellow I know I have done a little research on it and so far general consensus is I should ask round 500 to ,600 for it but also from the ones I've seen that sold at auctions was from 600 to bout 1,000 dollars, I would like to get 450 dollars for it , but I am open to offers. Thank you

Hello & good to have u joining in smile .... may I suggest you take a few more pictures, maybe one of the entire front & rear sign. Most people want to see what they are purchasing. More pictures usually the better. Good luck with your posting.

Not a bad price. The bends in it hurt the value a bit, atleast itโ€™s not creased. Some of the bend will probably come up when mounted. But trying to get it completely flat again would probably damage some of the porcelain. Good luck on the sale ๐Ÿ‘

This shouldn't come as a surprise to most of us, Jim. Thanks for the update. John
