I share the same concerns and have noted the changes as well. I can't wait to read about the safe guards that Jim is going to implement in order to overcome this downward trend. It'll be a fresh breath of air.

Humble suggestions...and I may have been in violation in the past on here or gun boards...BUT lets keep it fun:

High post count...50, 100 something like that OR a $25 dollar donation to be able to post classifieds without that post count...

1. keeps people honest
2. no one will come here post one thing...then vanish
3. Weeds out NEEEWBIES like me...Hopefully not me

Also, maybe when you hit that 50, 100 count...send a message to the mods, and they will send you a free t-Shirt...Just an idea, that way your 25.00 went towards something other than good faith.

Second idea...POST A PRICE. I have been in violation, but its really a fishing trick...KNOW YOUR STUFF before you post.

Just a couple humble thoughts...Mods feel free to delete this after you read

Doing a minimum amount of posts is ok but they will still find a way around it if they want. They may just come on and over a couple of days flood the threads with "nice sign" and "cool can" posts until they hit the mark. What about at length of time after registering?

Looking for any Alabama based globes and advertising such as Coastal, Rebel, Interstate Oil, Foster Oil (supertane), Mutual, Oil Well, etc...

After reading this post, it strikes me how badly this whole thing went South.....in a very short time? Seller, whomever actually owns/has possession, should remove them....as being offered from this site. He should also stop posting here. In a small number of posts, he has become very untrustworthy, IMO. I personally would not want all the drama......kinda like reality TV? Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Rod, this is exactly what I told you would happen. You became greedy AFTER we made a deal. You are still being dishonest with EVERYONE you speak to. NO WHERE have you mentioned or told anyone or in your descriptions that EVERY SINGLE one of these have holes in them. I explained to you and tried to inform you that most people with money for these signs, have money for better condition signs. Your trying to sell these here on Old Gas to some of the most informed and frankly "well off" collectors in the hobby...THEY NEED TO KNOW ACCURATE description of each and every item. That is why my offer and our deal...was no where near close to "low balling." You have from DAY 1 brought up ebay to me at least once every conversation...and from my talking to the other people your trying to pawn these off on...done the same. GO AHEAD AND EBAY THEM. People here do not spend their money blindly. All these issues you are having here is simply because you feel you deserve every penny for these that others in the hobby get...even though you don't have an investment in making a client list, years of research, expenses in listing, selling, packing, YOU JUST WANT MONEY. Everyone I have met from this community is a nice, well informed person. Every single one of these people I know would be disappointed after driving to see a sign that has holes in the face when expecting only minor wear and chipping.

Why are you posting this here? Either accept the fact that you didn't get them and get over it...or pick up the phone and call him or even better send him a PM.

I would imagine if there was no money in them you wouldn't be trying to buy them. Unless you are putting a ceiling up in your living room.

Spare the rest us from having to play witness to this.
