"""Just wondering if there is any interest in an old fire hydrant?"""
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
The answer is yes there is an interest in them!
This one is patented in 1868 and was put in the Denver Colorado system in about 1880 and removed from service in 1975! In my back yard! What da' have!

You bet there is interest. Too bad I am too far away. I've only got 3 on the property. Send a picture. I like to look even if I can't have. I have given my Buddy one and there is 2 Dogs and a Cat resting under this one. Mike

Very interesting hydrants Keven. They look alot like the one I posted. Its a Holly. I would guess they are about the same vintage. Is the operating nut square on them? Or 5 sided? I would assume square by the age. Nice. Where did you get them?

My spelling is probably not right but,I think it is a Rennsaleer. Chad is going to get pics of it. I'd like to have $100.00 for it. I don't think we will be doing Peatone this year but maybe I could find someone headed that way.

I have a picture of the hydrant if anyone is interested in it. I can e-mail the picture as I am unable to get a picture on the Non-petro forum without the file manager. I'm a bit slow when it comes to computers and how to do one thing 50 diffrent ways. Like I said I can email it if interested and the price is $100.00.

I had trouble finding file manager also. But I figured out that you have to post a reply to any post with the 'new reply' tab at the top of the page rather than post a quick reply...?? Maybe that can be changed
