This is a "BIG THANK YOU" to Old Gas member "tOOLmanii". Louis went out of his way and took the time to build me a set of dies to straighten the pricer wheels on my Wayne 40! If any of you have ever been around a Wayne 40, you will know that removing the pricer wheels can be a really tricky affair! They are usually damaged in some way or another. I was able to get mine out but they were fairly well bent from the process and hand straightening wasn't doing the job.
Along comes Louis with a post on some dies he made for straightening computer wheels and when I contacted him, he was more than willing to make a set for me!!! I received the dies yesterday and within 15 minutes, I had those wheels looking like they did originally! A big plus for my restoration!
Louis wouldn't take any money for his efforts and said that the knowledge of it helping another Old Gasser was payment enough for him!! My hats off to Louis for his help and now its my turn! These are specialized dies and I don't have any idea as to whether someone else is restoring a Wayne 40--BUT-- These dies are available to anyone and everyone to use, at any time!! Just email me and we'll get them in the mail!! Thanks again LOUIS

You are welcome Kevin. This gas pump "stuff" is really interesting to me. I might be willing to do other small machining jobs for Oldgas members if I thought the job interesting. Drop me a line......assuming this doesn't contradict Oldgas policy. I'm not here to step on anyones' toes.

I like that machining job. Nice to see good people are still out there. I know I am finding them from oldgas members too.
