This is the first one of these that i've owned, it's a model #97. My question is why does it have three rows of numbers? A tire wouldn't have triple digit pressure would it? Not on automotive tires anyway. Can someone tell me why. Also I got this yesterday, I've already got it torn down, prepped and in the paint booth. Thanks, Barry

Some models do have a maximum pressure of 115 pounds, the one in my bedroom is that type. This was located at an old Gulf station and in use till the 80's. Some truck tires use high pressure and I used to fill my portable tank to max pressure to use at home, till I had my own compressor, and in 1989 my own ECO air stand. I restored it by disassembling, soaking parts in brake fluid to remove the paint and soaking the sheet metal in muriatic acid to remove rust. It has been rust free ever since.

Antique? It's new to me.

Two and three wheel units have always been available. In the early years service stations serviced trucks so most of the units that were purchased were three wheels. As truck service centers opened many service station oped for the lower price two wheel units since they no longer seviced trucks. In order to pump over 75 lbs. you unit must have a shotlengthner. So, it doesn't matter how many wheels the unit has, without the shotlengthner you unit will only supply about 75 lbs.

I have the largest selection of ECO parts shown, on my website: www.petrolianacollectibles.com
Or you can go directly to the ECO parts at: http://www.petrolianacollectibles.com/eco%2090%20parts.htm

In case you are wondering how the ECO works, I have a explanation on the same page.

That's a beauty! If it doesn't work, take the main valve off and clean it, 99% of the problems are in the main valve. New chrome, etc and she will do you proud!!! Good luck!!
