Does anyone know how to decide a Tokheim Model 39 model number? I have a Model 39 LHRVP, Serial Number 918980-11-47. I can't figure out what the LHRVP stands for. Am I correct in assuming the last four of the S/N is the month (11) and year (47) of manufacture?

Apparently it was manufactured in San Francisco based on the smaller tag with the same stamped model number that was attached below the S/N tag.

Thanks!

Jeff

Good Morning from Green Bay, WI. I believe your assumption on the date of manufacture is accurate. I am not an expert on the Tokheim pumps, but I am sure there are some on here. Based on what I found the L indicates it is a Low pump and the HR indicates that it has an exterior Hose Reel, which is probably 10" above the base on one of the sides. I am not sure what the VP indicates though. Neil

Vapor Proof light fittings? They were an accessory.

Thanks for the replies... The L makes sense since the hose feeds out off the bottom of the pump (see photo). The hose reel is internal though. I'll go with the VP meaning "vapor proof."

Yes your photo shows the correct orientation of the hose reel for this model number. It has the raised window surround on the door instead of the the rubber inserts as well.
