I have owned dozens of Gas O Guns though the years, and at least 6-8 with that tab, so I don't hink they are rare by any stretch. I can't disagree with Richard on the original useage of that version, but I see no harm in trimming off the tab to use on an 800, using that version on a Wayne 70 or 80 wouldn't add any value to the pump, but using it on an 800 would be the highest and best use.
