Randy, I believe this new member is going to get the part he needs, thanks to you. The defective part the guy is looking for is actually the bell's striker solenoid. When activated, the solenoid kicks out the striker rod that then rings the bell. The Milton site you referred the new guy to does have replacement solenoid's available for less than forty bucks. John
